It's reported that Japan's Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Corp. (NSSMC) said that it has received orders for steel pipe piles with inner rib for the Australian Ichthys liquefied natural gas (LNG) project, together with Nippon Steel & Sumikin Pipe Vietnam Co., Ltd. (NPV), NSSMC's joint venture in Vietnam.
Also, the order of 18,000 tons of steel pipe pile is the biggest order for NPV.
NSSMC indicated that Australia's demand for steel pipe pile is increasing, boosted by many oil and gas projects in the country.
